The news

Oracle NetSuite announced a set of AI tools at its SuiteWorld conference in Las Vegas on 26 October 2026, as steps towards what it calls an "autonomous suite". The idea is that a user describes a goal in plain words and NetSuite prepares the analysis and the next actions, inside the user's existing roles, permissions and approvals.

Available now wherever NetSuite Next is offered: more than 45 SuiteSkills, ready-made skills that explain variances, find what is holding up the month-end close, flag unbilled work and overdue invoices, and look into stock and delivery problems; AI Portlets, which build charts and dashboards from a plain question; AI Workspaces, which bring people, AI agents, information and approvals together around one process, starting with Autonomous Close; and industry SuiteAgents for software, product and construction companies. Agents for services, healthcare and non-profits come later. Every NetSuite customer can also download the SuiteSkills from GitHub and use them with Claude or ChatGPT through the NetSuite AI Connector Service, which Oracle says more than 13,000 customers already use.

Other tools have no date yet: SuiteAgent Studio, for building your own agents that run on a schedule or when something happens in the business; SuiteFlow Agent, which drafts workflows that a person reviews and confirms before they are created; a workspace for managing agents; and Ask Oracle Connectors, which reach other business systems. NetSuite Next and its assistant, Ask Oracle, run in the US and Canada and are starting in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, with Spain, Sweden and the Benelux countries in 2027. The announcements give no prices, and Oracle says its plans are not a commitment to deliver.

What it means for you

  • If you run NetSuite in the US or Canada, some of these tools are in NetSuite Next now. In most other countries NetSuite Next has no launch date yet.
  • Any NetSuite customer can use the SuiteSkills with Claude or ChatGPT today, and the AI only sees and does what the user's role allows.
  • The agents prepare the work and a person approves it, so your approval rules matter more than before.
  • Oracle gave no prices, and the tools without a date may change or arrive late.

What to do now

  1. If you use NetSuite, ask your partner or account manager whether NetSuite Next is available in your country and whether it changes your bill.
  2. Review the roles and permissions of the people who will use AI, since the skills and agents act within them.
  3. Try one skill, such as variance analysis or overdue invoices, on a past month and compare the result with your team's own work.
  4. Decide who approves what before you turn on any agent that can change records, payments or orders.
  5. Do not plan a purchase around SuiteAgent Studio or other tools that have no date.
