The news
At its Dreamforce conference in San Francisco on 15 September 2026, Salesforce launched Salesforce in Claude, which lets people work with their Salesforce data from inside Claude, the AI assistant made by Anthropic. It is open to all Salesforce customers in beta and comes with 37 ready-made sales skills, delivered through a Salesforce MCP server. Skills for service, marketing, commerce and industry teams, and analytics with Tableau, are planned without a date.
Salesforce says the assistant acts within each user's existing Salesforce permissions, and that business data is used only to answer the request at hand and is not kept by the model provider.
The company also made Agentforce Coworker available to its customers. It is an AI assistant inside the Salesforce screens that answers questions from the CRM, Slack and other connected sources, and can call on the Agentforce agents a company has already built. For Slack, Salesforce announced Slack CRM, for logging notes and updating records by typing a request, but gave no availability date.
Salesforce presented these tools under the name AIforce. On 9 October, chief executive Marc Benioff wrote on X that AIforce is now called SIforce. Salesforce has not published prices, and its announcement says pricing and packaging may change and availability varies by region.
What it means for you
- If your sellers already use Claude, they can look up accounts and prepare for calls with Salesforce data without leaving the chat.
- It is a beta with no published price, so treat it as a trial rather than a step in your sales process.
- Loose permissions matter more now: whatever a user can see in Salesforce, the assistant can bring up in a chat.
What to do now
- Review who can see which records in your Salesforce org before anyone connects it to Claude.
- Try Salesforce in Claude with two or three sellers on everyday tasks, such as preparing for a customer meeting.
- Ask your Salesforce account manager what it will cost once the beta ends.
How Didset can help
